When Claire was saying those things , Victor was thinking how important he was to Claire and even though Layla was the one who he loved , wouldnt be a bad idea if he could try with Claire

-So Victor- she touched his face - i will let you be happy with Layla , but i wont forget our kisses  your hand touching my body , your deep breath when you were sleeping
