Chapter 50 : Bussiness Time

After a couple of minutes , Adrian was at his best friend house. He knocked on the door and took some time to someone open the door. Nathan’s mother opened.



-Heeey Adrian- she said

-Yeah he is washing the dog , come on in- she invited Adrian to come in

Adrian walked to the garden and he started to hear Nathan singing

Victor came back home , after spending the whole morning with Jade. Of course that Victor knew that stay with his ex-girlfriend wouldn’t help , wouldn’t make things better but he hated to be alone.

When he came home , holding a couple bags full of beers and meat for a barbecue he noticed that had a car parked infront of his house. Unknow car , Victor thought straight away ‘ New Client?’
When he came inside of the house , had a man sat on his sofa. This man was tall , with dark brown hair , dark eyes , tanned skin , dressing simple clothes ,apparelly an averaged person.



-What you want?- Victor asked to that man

-Why? We have nothing to talk about it….
-Paul told me to come- the man said

After a long time without speaking , Victor finally met his own father, Felix.
Would this meeting be a good thing for them?



 Later that day , Adrian , who spent all his day with Nathan decided to go home

-What time is man?- Adrian asked to Nathan
-Its 6:09pm why??- Nathan asked
-Oh God its soo late- Adrian said – we speak on facebook or you call me so we finish all the details
-Ahhh sleep here , we could watch movies-Nathan never wanted to Adrian to leave
-Nah man , sorry , my mother will go to a cooking class so I think I be the one cooking at home tonight- Adrian did a face like ‘ as if I’m a good cooker’

The weather totally changed , it was raining strong and Adrian never had an umbrella.
‘Damn I bet if Nathan were here he would be singing the umbrella song haha’ – Adrian thought with himself.
Adrian was running fast when all of suddlen he fell on the mud.



-OH GREAT- he screamed to himself.

Adrian got his both knees very hurted. His knees started to bleed and now Adrian could only walk slowly because the pain was too much.

When he came home his mother came running to see him



-Oh My God……Adrian are you alright???- Beth asked
-Yeah I fell on the mud because I was running in the rain
-Why you never asked to Nathan’s mother to bring you? Why you never called for me to pick you up??????????
-I never wanted to bother mom- he said
-Don’t do this again , I think you will have to take off all your clothes here and run to the shower I just cleaned the floor and I don’t want you to make It all dirty

-I’m sorry , girls , my son fell on the mud because of the rain haha – Beth said

Adrian got ashamed by the way his mother talked about him that he was trying to not look at the guests or else he would be even more embarressed but then he heard an familiar voice…

-Adrian? is that you?- an girl asked

Adrian looked at who were speaking with him and for his surprise the guest was the last person that he thought that would be sat on his living room , the guest was Layla and her mother….



-Layla?- Adrian said holding his top full of mud
-You guys know eachother?- his mother asked. Beth never reconizned Layla from the other day when Nathan , told her that the girl who Adrian was in love was her.
-He is in my class…I mean, almost all- Layla smiled
-Yeah- he said
-Aww that’s such a huge coincidence, I never knew that our kids studied together and we study together Beth!!!- Layla mother said
-Oh yeah , that’s destiny for sure- Beth smiled – go shower Adrian because Layla and her mother will try my strawberry pie
-Yeah- Layla said
-Oh ok I try to be fast- Adrian ran to his room and Layla started to smile at herself
-Good job I insisted to bring Layla or else we wouldn’t ever know that our childrens study at the same class- Layla’s mother said
-I know!!!- Beth smiled at Layla.-So ladies come into my kitchen-Beth said -my pie and brownies are cooking-

They both got up and walked into the kitchen

-So you study with Adrian?- beth asked

Adrian was in the shower. He never knew if he should take shower fast and go talk to Layla or if he should stay there till they go home.


He decided to shower fast of course so he could talk to Layla
When he was coming out of the shower
 Layla was trying to go into the bathroom but William was annoying her

Adrian heard the whole conversation and he was asking himself what Layla and Jonas did
Adrian put his clothes fast and got ready. His brother came in without knocking and said:

Adrian went to his bedroom and locked the door , he never wanted to be bothered, he laid on his bed and started to blame himself for not defend Layla or even say anything that would show her that he cares.

Adrian was tired of being the shy guy , the loser , the one who girls never got near him , he wanted to be noticed , thats his big dream so he had an idea

'Well i need to make people like me and if i dont try to change i probably will die alone with all my 40 cats soo what should i do?'


He got his laptop and searched on good : how to speak with a girl...


There he found many websites talking about tips how to flirt , how to make girls fall in love for guys. Adrian started to read...

Adrian told Nathan everything that happened that day and they talked over hours....



It was the Next Morning


Layla was getting ready for school
She thought today wont be a good day at all she could feel it
Adrian woke up lazy too he didn't really want to go to school but today he would get his grades and if they were awesome his mother would treat him good...

Well that nervous time came when the teacher was about to hand out grades
Adrians hands got all sweaty. He started to imagine seeing D on his paper, What if he had to resit????




-Well class I have you grades in my hand most of yous did amazingly and others did awful well there was only two people who failed-the teacher looked around
Adrian thought god someone has failed I bet its me
-Adrian you got highest score out of the whole class 100%- the teacher smiled big at him and handed his paper

Adrian was so happy


Then the teacher walked over to Layla -and you missy got lowest i'm not surprised-she kinda threw paper at her

Layla got ashamed but she wasnt surprised either since she never paid attention at the class and besides that , the teacher hated Layla



-Well i promise that i will get better grades- Layla said to herself and Chloe heard
-Damn im scared about my grade , i bet i m the second person who failed- Chloe said
when Chloe got her grade of that teacher she got a B+

-I studied nothing and i got a B , God , i must be geek....- Chloe said and Layla just rolled her eyes.
Nathan , who was in the class too , got a bad grade
-Nathan , i expected more from you- the teacher said - but a C isnt that bad , you should study with Adrian
-Oh sure why not- Nathan smiled at the teacher. when she turned around , Nathan showed her the tongue - stupid woman

The class was over and Adrian was so happy, he couldn't wait to celebrate
Layla walked out the class moody

Victor started to kick things , he always do that when he is mad but the thing was , he really missed her and he was getting desperate without Layla.

When Nathan and Adrian were walking in the corridor they found Maya , crying...

Well lunch time came, Adrian was nervous about what Layla would say maybe she would kick him because of William , maybe she wanted to be with him? That what he thought but in his wildest dreams

He started to kick everything that was infront of him , he was mad
Victor thought that Layla would forgive him easy but she wouldnt give him this pleasure , at least not now.

-Yeah he is really jerk , i dont want to speak with him because everytime i see him i remember about that girl and i'm sick of- Layla looked down

-Omg this is soo cool ,we should make a break though and eat something- Adrian suggested

Chloe put her mobile in her pocket and started to smile. Somehow she was feeling really happy and she couldn’t stop smiling. Chloe couldn’t explain why she was feeling in that way  but Nathan was making her belly full of butterflies.

Victor were still trying to find a girl to spend the night , but it seems he wouldn’t be so sucessuful that night.

-Hmm your face is really familiar to me. I’m just trying to remember from where….- he said
-Well  if that counts , you slept with me 3 months ago after Carter party and said you would call me so we could go out… but you never did!!!!
-Oh damn really? I’m so sorry!I must of be the most idiot guy ever for not calling you back , can I make up for you now and hmm maybe we could have some fun together?- he raised his eyebrow

That was the first time that Victor got rejected by such type of girl.
Victor was the type of guy who never cared about the girls feelings , how they would feel if he hurt them or anything ; he simply used girls like toys , to make him satisfacted and nothing more.Therefore , Layla made him change his view about love and this same girl who made him change was the same girl who was making him taste the flavor of rejection.


Victor looked around and saw Jonas and Layla dancing really close. Their body was touching each other and Jonas couldn’t stop smiling. Victor thought about stopping him , about hitting Jonas till death but he couldn’t do that , Layla was clearly , she didn’t want Victor no more and the only thing Victor could do was accept her decision.
Victor decided to go home , without talking with anyone , he wanted to be alone when someone touchs him shoulder.


-Where do you think you are going??- Jade asked
-Jade? What you want?- Victor asked
-I want you- Jade came near him and started to bit his ear- come with me?? – she askedand held his hand


Later that night….



Chloe and Tony were laid on the sofa kissing and a few people were still in the living room , dancing and talking , others feeling sick outside while Layla and Jonas were alone in a bedroom sat on the floor speaking about life...

-Layla , you are really funny- Jonas said – why you telling me  all those things???
-I don’t know Jonas , like I don’t tell  people about my secrets , maybe only when I’m druuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuunk hahahaha like now- she smiled

Chloe got her phone and texted Layla.

‘Where are you?? I’m tired and we should go home , meet me outside’



Layla and Jonas were still kissing when her phone vibrated.
They never stopped kissing. Jonas was enjoying every minute next to Layla , he never liked her so much but he felt really attracted

-God- Layla was getting really warm and she kissed him back

Chloe was getting inpacient when she decided to call Layla.


-Ahhh – Jonas said
-Ops , sorrryy- Layla got the phone , she was going to turn off but she saw that was Chloe so she picked up

-Layla , come outside , me and Tony are waiting for you to go home- Chloe said

Layla turned off the phone and started to close her top that Jonas opened before.


-What? Whats going on?- he asked

Even drunk , Layla could still know what was right and what was wrong for her so she was glad that things with Jonas never got that serious…

Chloe and Tony met Layla outside.

Next morning….

Victor woke up and he was feeling soo tired as if he never slept much that night.
He started to move in the bed and put the pillow on his head when a female voice says:

-Did you slept good Victor?- Jade asked
-Oh God- Victor looked under the covers – whyyyyyy
-Why what baby? Last night was the best night ever- Jade touched his chest
-I cant believe we had it- he put his hands on his hair – I cheated Layla again… this must be a nightmare

-You were crying too much because of Layla so I told you to come here so we could have some privacy and I would take care of you as I did but then after some drinks we were kissing each other and now here we are- she said

It was 11:08am when Layla woke up , destroyed , completely dead as if she drank all the drinks of the party alone , with a major hangover.


-Damn , I swear I wont ever drink again- she said to herself.
Her room was a mess , shoes , clothes all over the floor.

She got her phone to see what time was and saw that she received many texts

‘Hey Layla 
I know this is awkward but I just wanted to let you know that last night was one of the best nights of my whole life

Wanna come over my place tonight? We could play some poker like old times’ – Diego sent 11:09am

‘I miss you’ – Victor sent 11:28am

Of all the texts , the one that really made Layla’s heart hurt was the one from Victor…
Layla started to think if she should reply him or not….

-God what should I do? Should I reply or not? And if I reply what should I say?? and Jonas? oh my God...Jonas....- she touched her face

Adrian was at home , helping his little brother to make a project for school.

-John , you should put this tower here so teachers would think that you are geek , just like your big bro-Adrian said

Adrian’s mother saw the whole conversation between them and came to to talk to her son.

-Look , your grandma called- she said – and she asked about you

Adrian went to Nathan’s house.

While Adrian was walking to Nathan’s place he found on the floor a necklace. It was new and Adrian started to think
‘Hmm weird that someone lost this , it seems expensive.’

Adrian got the necklace and put in his pocket and continued to walk.

Layla decided to take a nice bath to relax , she was too stressed , many things were happening with her and around her , she really needed a time for herself.
Layla started to think about everything that was going on and in that private moment , Layla started to ask herself why Victor did such a thing…she still couldn’t believe it but the worst part was that Layla was feeling extremely guilty for kissing Jonas.
After a couple of minutes , Layla finished her bath and she went to her room to get changed. While she was getting dressed, her phone rang and it was Jonas.


-Layla , good morning- Jonas said
-Oh hey Jonas – she said
-I’m calling to know if you are alright- he said
-Aww yeah I’m- she said
-Good , that’s all what matter right?- he said and smiled at the other side of the line
-Haha sure how about you?
-I’m fine , I got a hangover but I’m feeling a little better-he said

-Yep , even thought , I never slept last night- he said

-So , I was thinking if you want to meet tonight? We could go to a bar or cinema – Jonas said hoping that Layla wouldn’t say no

The first thing that Adrian did was to try to find Maya. He was convinced that she was the one for him. He was tired to imagine Layla and him together , kissing because Adrian knew that this dream wouldn’t ever come true.
Nathan and Adrian were walking in the cafeteria area to try to find Maya , but she wasn’t there, they went to the library but she wasn’t there either so they went to speak with her closest friends

Adrian was so confused and also upset , the girl that he thought that he would have a chance , in the end , got someone else....
Adrian started to wonder why he didnt had luck in love , maybe there was someone in this world ready for him , his soulmate? or he was just the unlucky boy who wouldnt ever get a girlfriend?

Sometimes when we get in a relationship we must to think a lot , because we know that love hurts and the pain is so bad that some people cant take it....they take away their own lives because of love....so think about it , if you made or will make the right choice...

Chloe got quiet , she knew if she said anything shit would happen

The bus arrived at the school. When the doors opened Layla was one of the first to get out

Victor wanted to go after Layla and try to fix things as he always he did but Jonas stopped him

Adrian watched the whole scene from the bus , he never dared to move.
Natalie who was still on the bus getting her stuff , she got shocked when Victor came near her

-You ruined everything to me , why you had to open your dirty mouth?- he said - i told you to not tell anyone , i said it would be our secret
-God you are taken, i feel used , i feel like a trash...

Jonas ran after Layla -Layla- he shouted

-Yeah get another guy that will kill him-Jonas smiled -I call you- he walked away

-Layla , Natalie told how things happpened...you want me to tell you?- Chloe asked

Adrian and Nathan got his bags and walked home too
Adrian was quiet thinking about Layla because she screamed at Victor infront of everybody.
He felt sorry for her. Nathan who was also quiet decided to speak

-Dude , how nice is come back home after days without a showerrr? God , like i got that watermelon shampoo that i cant wait to use haha it seems im smelling poo
-Ewww dude- Adrian said
-Sorry haha anyways , how you feel about Layla?
-Normal , i got a decision- Adrian looked at Nathan
-What is?
-I will Ask Maya to be my girlfriend tomorrow- he said
-You kidding me- Nathan said
-No i'm not , i dont wanna be alone and Maya likes me...
-What about Layla??- Nathan asked
-Well , whats the point of liking her if she wont ever know? because i wont tell her and i'm sure she always look at me just as the nerd who dont have much friends soo nevermind her- Adrian smiled

So it was the next day , people had to wake up early and go to school
Adrian went to school decided that he would ask Maya out  so he was kinda excited
While walking in the corridor he could hear everybody speaking about just one subject : Layla and Victor break up

He was wondering how Layla would face it everyone , it would probably be hard since the whole schools knows that she got cheated

Adrian went to his class and Layla wasnt there , just Chloe.
Chloe waved at him and he waved back


-Good morning Chloe- Adrian said
-Morning Adrian- she smiled
-Do you know if Layla is ok?
-No she isn't , she wont come to school today...but i really hope she comess- Chloe said
-Oh i understand...well i dont think she will come because like , i wouldnt- he said shy
-Same but oh well...lets hope she can be strong enough right?- Chloe said
-Right but I will be surprised like Victor is in the class too- Adrian said
-Yeah-Chloe said

Then Layla walked in

-Oh my God Layla-Chloe got up -I thought you wouldnt come-
-Why wouldnt I come? Because the whole school is talking about that twat cheating on me, he is the cheater here so- Layla started to walk to her seat and Victor was behind her

He heard everything but Layla never cares

-Welllllll- Chloe said and things got awkward
Layla walked over to Victors desk and put her necklace she gave him on the table

-You can give this to the next girl you play- she said
-Layla come on-Victor said
-Don't talk to me-she said
-You shouldnt return a gift ever- he said

Layla started to ignore him

-So Chloe , i really think we should go to the party tonight , i want to dance and drink allllllllllllllll night- Layla said
-Hahaha sure Layla i might call Tony- Chloe said
-Are you guys still going out?
-Nah we broke up- Chloe said
-What?? when?? you never told me your stupid - Layla said
-I know , like i never wanted to make you worried haha but i'm fine , he was too big for me i mean tooooooooooo big- Chloe said and Layla started to laugh
-He was huge and you couldnt handle right?- Layla laughed more
-Exactly , i couldnt handle guuurl but its life haha

Victor were stood there looking at Layla , he was mad he never allowed any girl walk over him but this time Layla was right

He walked away and left the class
Layla saw and then looked down.
