Chapter 15 : Heart Hurts

Adrian came back upstairs to see if Jessica finished her shower. He got annoyed because she was still there…He waited Jessica to leave the bathroom , which took ages…


-Finally – he said when she left the bathroom
-Oh my , Im so so sorry Adrian , like I didn’t know you would shower…- Jessica said
-I shower everyday in the morning , but it’s ok , isn’t your fault , you don’t live here to know – he was being sarcastically
-Yeah but still , Im sorry- she smiled – look I forgot my creams in the bathroom but you can use if you want – She was testing Adrian to know if he was gay
-Oh thanks I like creams , I think my skin is kinda dry – he said
-Wow – she said
-What?
-Nothing Adrian , like , come here – she put her arm around him – I think I know why you are like you are…this sweet face and always being cute to people
-You do?
-Of course Adrian , I understand you loads , like my brother is like you – Jessica said
-Wow serious? I thought I was the only one who was like this
-Of course not , there’s many people like you – she smiled
-Yeah I think so too now  , do you mind if I be friends with your brother? I think we would be good friends –
-Aww of course not and I bet you will love him , he is single though – she winked
-Single? Well same here haha we got something in common – Adrian smiled
-Many things in common – she laughed – so his name is Vinny
-Oh ok nice name I will add him on Facebook
-That would be super cool Adrian well I should get ready , speak later angel- she said
-Byee – Adrian said and went to the bathroom


When he was in the shower he started to think about Jessica. Before , Adrian hated her because she was weird , many tattoos , piercings , she was kinda scary but then she was really nice to him , Adrian started to like her a little. Of all William’s girlfriend , that one was the cooler one.
Adrian finished his shower and got the cream that Jessica told him to use and then got his clothes and went downstairs.


His mom made him breakfast and he ate everything fast , because of Jessica he was late and Nathan was probably mad now at the bus station waiting for him


-Thanks for the breakfast mamm- Adrian said fast and got his bag
-But you never ate much
-Im lateee see you lateeer byee- Adrian opened the door and ran to the bus station
His mother smiled at herself , thinking how nice Adrian was.
Jessica came downstairs to talk to her mother in law.
-Good morning Beth – she said
-Morning , I didn’t knew you slept here- Beth said kinda mad
-Oh William told me he would tell – Jessica said while putting butter on her bread
-He should of uh? – Beth said
-Yep , so Beth , I have something to tell you , but I want you to sit down – Jessica said
-Whats wrong? – she said thinking Jessica would tell her she was pregnant. Beth started to get dizzy
-Sit – Jessica said
-Oh God….i didn’t want that to my kid – Beth said already anticipating everything
-I know , no mother wants- Jessica said – Im sorry Beth – she touched Beth arm
-God , what I did to deserve this??? – Beth got furious – I give everything to that boy , his dad sometImes don’t even come back home just to work more and get more money in this house and he pays me like that??
-Beth , you must to understand , people don’t choose that , it just happens- Jessica said
-But still….i will talk to him serious – she got up – this couldn’t of happened
-I don’t think this will help and I will defend him always – Jessica got up
-William is too young to be a dad!!!! – Beth got mad – this is your fault!!!
-Whaaaaaaaat? Dad? Beth Im not pregnant…..
-Huh? Im confused….i thought you were talking about you being pregnant of my son William
-Nooooo hahahaha not at all , eww , I hate kids…- Jessica said
-Do you?
-Yeh , I don’t want to have babies screaming ‘ I WANT FOOD’ , ‘TAKE ME TO THE TOILET ‘ hahaha
-Weird…but after all , what you were talking about?
-About Adrian
-What happened to my Adrian? – His mom put her hand on her chest
-He admitted to me that he is gay…
-Gaaay??
-Yes , he told me he like boys and stuff and I know this is complicated because like my brother Vinny is…
-My Adrian is gay? – she sat on the chair – he said that to you?
-This morning- Jessica said things without knowing , she changed the whole conversation that she had with Adrian in that morning
-God…ok….i watched Dr.Phil , he already talked about how to react when your son or daughter tell you they are gays …..ok I will talk to my Adrian when he come back home , thanks for telling me
-You welcome , do you have any beers ??- Jessica asked


Meanwhilee

Layla went home to get her stuff. She walked slowly so no one would hear her. She went to her room and changed clothes. She looked through the window and saw Victor outside his car smoking a cigarette , she hated smoking but somehow Victor got hotter smoking like that.
Layla was completely in love with Victor , she couldn’t even explain to herself about what she was feeling. The need about spending every second of her day with him just made her desperate to do everything fast so she could be with him. It’s was like Victor became her drug , she needed him so much…
Layla also got more clothes and put in her bag so if she slept at Victors again would be more easy to go to school.

Her mother heard her in her room and came to talk to her…

-Layla?
-Oh hi mom – Layla said without looking at her
-Did you just came home?
-No mom I slept here duuh
-Did you?
-Obviously and I need to go now bye mom – Layla kissed her mom cheek and left her room
-Layla wait – her mom came after her
-What mother? – Layla said without patience
-You changed , whats happening?
-Nothing , Im kinda late for school- Layla said
-Did you called Diego? – her mother asked
-No I didn’t
-Layla , when you come back home we need to talk…- her mom said worried
-Well I don’t know what tIme Im coming back soo- Layla walked away and left the house.


Victor saw her and then got in the car. This tIme he never opened the car’s door for Layla…


Layla got in the car.


-Argh my mom is annoying
-Why? – Victor drove
-My mom said oh you changed , something is wrong? Like leave me alone , Im growing up
-Yeah , mothers will always treat us as babies no matter our age – Victor said and touched Layla leg
-I know right- Layla said.


Layla and Victor finally came to school. Layla keep thinking about and if something happens that day and if Angela do something against her? She didn’t want to show the fear but inside she was really scared….
 Layla and Victor walked in the corridor holding hands and of course that when people at school saw that they all started to make comments with eachother.

Layla didn’t care about what people would think , since she actually started to like that boy like she ever liked anyone else..

-Baby , like can you wait me here? I need to speak to someone…
-Hmmm I think I will go to class and see if Chloe is there
-Sure , feels weird coming at school early – he laughed
-Victor , class will start in 8 mins
-Haha exactly – he kissed her with tongue in front of everyone and then walked away
Layla started to smile a lot.

She came in the class and Chloe was speaking with another girl.

-Good morning girls – Layla smiled
-Layla!!! – Chloe ignored what the other girl said and looked at Layla – I was dying to speak with youuuuuu
-Haha really? Why?
-You know why haha so split everything to me , tell me everything about your weekend with Mr Victor – Chloe winked
-Ah sure but maybe at the break , it’s a long story
-Ok , but by looking at yourself I can tell that you are happy
-Yep  , very- Layla couldn’t help but smile
-Like and the things about Angela? Because girl , this became a war you know right?
-I know and Im not scared of Angela , like Im scared about the things that she can do but I got Victor so nothing can go wrong
-Yeah that’s true – Chloe smiled

Chloe started to think ‘ I wish I had someone too , to be honest I wish I was Layla…’.

Nathan and Adrian came in the class and Nathan was complaining

-God I hate school so badly and we will have class with that stupid again Mrs Penguin
Layla and Chloe heard and both laughed

-Hey Nathan- Chloe waved
-Morning girls – Nathan smiled

Adrian went to sit on his desk.

-You called the teacher Mrs penguin? Why?
-Because she walks like one- Nathan started to act like her
-Hahaha you funny – Chloe said
-Thanks guurl – he winked – so Layla , I heard about the Angela gossip
-Oh yeah and did you saw my picture taking the piss too?- Layla winked
-YES I LIKED HAHAHA and I told to some friends like too haha , That Angela deserves death
-Woah – Chloe said – too far Nathan
-Nah , he is right , she deserves death – Layla said – she is mean , snob , she loves to make people feel small
-Yeah she does – Nathan said – and she isn’t even hot , how she won prom queen?
-Hahahaha true , she looks like a chicken
-She is a chicken- Layla said – she says Im a slut but I bet she slept with many
-Hhahahahahaha I think so too – Nathan said

The teacher came in and she was holding a umbrella. Chloe and Layla started to laugh because they thought about Nathan saying that she was penguin…


-Morning class – she said
-Morning- some students said
-Ohhh I see that Layla already came , that’s why is raining outside – the teacher winked
-Probably not teacher – Layla rolled her eyes
-Well , I want you guys to open your books in page 30 while I go outside get a cup of water


The teacher went out of the class.


Nathan looked at Adrian

-You should of came near us and talk to Layla
-Nah- Adrian said
-Why not?
-I have the feeling she don’t like us – Adrian said
-Oh yeah sure , you know everything right? Argh I hate you- Nathan said
-Ok stupid – Adrian’s phone vibrated and he saw that he got a text and was from his mother


‘Adrian , we need to speak as soon possible son
When school finish , come home straight away’

Adrian heart started to hurt.

-Damn my mom need to speak with me serious….im scared –
-Ah I bet you peed on bed again – Nathan said loud and many girls heard
Adrian did a shocked face and Nathan said
-Ops….Im just joking  , he doesn’t pee on his bed
Some girls looked at Adrian with a disgusted face
-Great – Adrian looked at him and got up
-Where you going??
-Call my mom- He got his phone and left the class


Adrian went outside and called his mother fast


-Mom?
-Hey Adrian – she was serious
-Whats wrong? Is everyone ok?
-Yes Adrian – she was cold
-Then what happened?
-We speak when you come home
-But mom…
-Bye Adrian – she hang up
Adrian couldn’t understand what was happening , his  mother was different with hIm , he got worried.
When he came back to the class the headmaster was there.
-Excuse me – Adrian said
-Hmm you coming at the class just now Mister?
-No no , I had to call my mother , something bad happened so I called her
-Oh I see , please take your sit
No one knew why the headmaster was there but probably would be for a bad thing.
-Well , I came here today for 2 things , first I want to introduce myself to the students who doesn’t know me yet , Im the headmaster and any problem that you guys have with teachers , other students or employers of this school please don’t hesitate to contact me – he started to write his email on the black board – that’s my email so you guys can speak with me anytime. 


Second thing that I want to say is that today you guys won’t have class , we will have a teacher meeting at the school with teachers of the first year , someone forgot to tell you guys Im so sorry.


-That means we can go home? – Tommy asked
-Yes
-YEYEYEYEYEYYE – everybody celebrated
-But calm down , oon the school website you guys will have a list of homework to do of every class you guys are going to loose
-You kidding us right? – Layla said
-No Im not so see you guys tomorrow
The headmaster left the room and everybody started to celebrate
-Shit if I knew I wouldn’t of wake up so early , I hate this school already
-Haha-  Layla laughed
-The good part is that only us are going home , Second and Third year will stay
-WHOOPPPP FOR ONCE LIFE IS FAIR- Nathan raised his arms
-True – Adrian said


Layla left her class and tried to find Victor , but he wasn’t anywhere there. She went outside to see if his car was there and wasn’t there either… Layla started to wonder where Victor could be…
